Happy Valentine’s Day!

This Valentine’s Day was the best one EVER! I LOVE James. He is so sweet. He got me a card that was long, mushy, and sweet, and a stuffed animal [I'm not sure if it was a dog or a bear or what...]. I got him a pair of silky black boxer shorts with shiny red hearts all over them, a singing card, and a book of “love coupons”. The whole day was great [we celebrated on Wednesday because my Dad had meetings all day yesterday, so he couldn't be home in time], we ate chocolate covered strawberries, exchanged gifts, and just sat and talked the whole time. We had so much fun without a fancy date or dinner or anything. I love James, and this Valentine’s Day just made me realize it even more.

Song of the day: Wake Up, by Coheed and Cambria. This song is a great “almost” love song. It goes much deeper than most other songs by Coheed and Cambria [my favorite band!]

One whole year…

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend James, the sweetest guy I have ever met. He is amazing! We were talking on the phone before he came over and he mentioned that he hadn’t gotten me anything for the big event. That was fine, because I didn’t have anything for him, either. He told me his parents were bringing him over, but they were going to go to the supermarket first, so he said he might get me a “flower or something”. I said that would be fine and that the CD I had given him as a late birthday present (his birthday was only a month ago) could substitute for my gift to him, and he agreed that would be fine. So when he shows up at my house, he is carrying this big bouquet of flowers and a card. There were roses and sunflowers and big yellow flowers and they all smelled absolutely wonderful! The card was long and included “the reason why I love you”. I read it about three times after he left and smiled every time. That definetely pushes him over the sweetest guy mark. I love him to death! After we put the bouquet in a vase and some water, we went outside into the cool October air and carved a pumpkin (which turned out pretty good, I was a little surprised) and then took a walk around my neighborhood just like we did when we first started dating around this time last year. Our anniversary was celebrated with lots of hugs and kisses along the way!
